Stupid question time 🤗😂

Please dont judge me haha pregnancy brain is real and playing havoc with me!!

Okay so i was cleaning the house last week and i accidentally tripped over the bucket of water i had been using to clean the fans anyways i figured I'd just vacuum up the dirt and water that spilled as i had to yet vacuum the carpet,, so i gets my vacuum out (its a vax brand) and im vacuuming up all the water and dirt... now i was really impressed with this smart idea i had, so i kept vacuuming the lounge room with no worries than i turned it off and went to do the kitchen and Bam!! Shit went south real quick!! The damn vacuum is sparking and i could smell smoke so i turned off the power point and put the vacuum in the pantry i emptied the vacuum's dirt canister and cleaned it out and let dry now 1 week later (today) ive gone to vacuum and its started to spark again ive just put my vacuum in the sun... will it dry out and still be usable or have i just gone and fucked it?? My mother in law brought the vacuum for us last year for Christmas and i dont know how to tell her i have broken it already... i feel like the biggest weiner right now (to put it nicely) it did trip my power switch aswell today
