car seat help??!

So my husband got into a car accident. We need new car and new car seat.   wondering who here has a 2016 Honda CR-V and what brand of car seat you have? My son is 15 months and is rear facing. Our old car seat was the graco milestone. I have no problems with the seat it was just big and bulky. Wondering if there are better options out there or if I should just stick with the graco milestone again. Hubby and I are getting a new car and I want to know which car seat will fit best! Thank you :)

U know that if the car seat was in the car while your husband had the car accident your insurance should replace it??? It's a MUST!!

I have a britax Boulevard clicktight rear facing in a mazda 2 and it fits well.

I have a CRV and have 2 evenflo booster seats and will be putting a chicco keyfit between the two

Best advice is take the car to babies r us or such and ask them if you can test the seats in your car.  Most allow you to do so.  
 
I personally am a fan of Graco, Chicco, or Britax.  Diono (spelling) is also highly recommended.
 
These should all work in the CRV, especially a 2016/2017 model, which should have slightly more back seat leg room than the older models.

We have the diono radian RXT and absolutely love it. Hands down one of the best car seats on the market, it's not bulky, made with a steel frame and has great reviews. It's pricy but worth it, doesn't expire for 10 years and goes from rear facing to forward facing to a booster.
