In need of answers

So my boyfriend and I have not been together very long but we care about each other. But I'm not sure if it's going to work out we both want very different things alive life he is 10 years older than me which some what takes takes a toll on our relationship I don't know if he's joking half of the time or serious but I don't think he plans on staying around he talks about having a kid with blue eyes( which is impossible considering I'm Hispanic and I have very dark eyes and he has very grey blue eyes) and there's other things that indicate he doesn't plan on staying with me. I'm really starting to catch feelings but I don't want to be hurt again last night you made a comment I so happen to bring up kids and he brought up that he wanted kids with blue eyes and I turned to look at him and I told him that's not possible if we were to have a kid. He replied that's why we're not going to have kids. I know it's too soon to be talking about that but I don't get why he's dating me if you don't plan on being with me long enough
