Breastfeeding

Shenece
I am now 2 weeks & 4 days postpartum. I've been breastfeeding since my daughter came out but now (the last 4 days) I am not making enough to milk to feed her every two hours as well as pump enough for her to actually get a few bottles out of it. I haven't changed anything heath wise and I am following the pumping rules & tricks. Does anyone know anything natural to help me produce a lot more milk so that I can actually get other things done without her having to feed from my breast every time she wakes up ?

Baby to breast is better than pumping if you want to increase your supply. At 2 weeks, it's still early. I'd breastfeed as often as possible.

Think of it like this: Baby is used to getting a constant supply of nutrients, for the past 9 months they’ve been getting their nutrients from the umbilical cord. Now on the outside world they have to figure out how to get they’re food. It’s still early at 2 weeks and 100% normal for them to want to breast feed all the time. Even as frequent as every 30-60minutes! If you need to do things around the house I would 100000% recommend baby wearing and you can breast feed directly from there! Any other questions/problems I would suggest to go see a lactation consultant or look for one who could do a virtual consult at this time to get your latch looked at (baby will have a hard time removing milk effectively if they’re not latched on well). Or I would recommend doing a weighted feed to see how much milk baby is ACTUALLY taking from the breast. Also remember babies tummies are super tiny and milk digests very quickly. By that age their tummy is about the size of an🥚 and 🥛 will digest as quickly as 60-90minutes! Hope this helps! Wishing you the best, you’re doing great momma!

Gatorade help increase breast milk production. Make sure you are eating 2 cups of fruit and veggies per day

I'm taking fenugreek and that's helping me, you can get brewers yeast and add it to cakes/sweets and that's supposed to help too. I think it's natural for our supply to dip on occasion. My friends supply dips every time she gets her period now so I think sometimes it can be hormonal.
