So yesterday I had found out I was denied my maturity leave. Did you guys know they could do that? My company does it through met life so I had to call and apply for it over the phone. And yesterday I get a letter from metlife saying they had to deny it because I haven't hit my 1,250 hours, but I have 1,100 hours. My scheduling manager doesn't like me she doesn't give me hours, and she denies all of the shifts I try to get. I have to work 35 hours a week up to my due date to get to that so I get maturity leave. I don't know what to do... I'm talking to my boss tomorrow about what needs to happen. I don't know if this means I won't get it at all and I have to quit my job. I'm a ftm. I didnt think they could deny you maternity leave. And I don't think my scheduling manager is going to care she's just going to be doing the same old things she's been doing. She doesn't like kids and doesn't understand why anyone would have them. I work in a grocery store of that helps at all. What can I do if I don't hit the 1,250 hours before I give birth? Do I quit so I can stay home with my newborn baby?
