successful VBAC

Jessica
I am happy to say I am a successful VBAC patient. This is my third pregnancy and my previous was a c sec due to low heart rate. So this morning around 2 a.m I asked my husband did he want to get his last loving in before our scheduled c sec on the 16th. Of course he said Yes! But as we were getting ready to get it on I felt a big pop! That was a little painful. My husband asked what was that? I said idk. As I stood up a little fluid ran down my leg. I thought maybe baby is on my bladder and I just barely made it to restroom. So I laid back down and instantly got a contraction. With that contraction I felt a little wet again so I told up to head back to the restroom and same thing a little trickle down my leg. I yell out to my husband I think my water broke. But I decided to wait it out atleast an hour because I hate going to the hospital just for them to send me back home. I wanted to make sure my contractions were 3-5 mins apart. Well within 15 minutes my contractions went from 5 to 3 to 2 to 1 and half minutes apart!!! I told my husband let's go I couldn't take it anymore because they weren't giving me a break in between each contraction. By the time I made it to the hospital my contractions were 45 seconds apart. Horrible! I could barely breath. They checked me and said I was about 3-4 dilated so they admitted me in. A quick walk across the hall to L&D and 25 mins later I was 8 centimeters. I was screaming for an epidural! I received one 10 minutes later. I was relaxed for the next hour until I made the Drs and nurses aware that the epidural is running out and I can feel everything below my stomach. TOO LATE! I'm already 10 centimeters and it's time to push. It was a pretty bad pain when the head started coming out but I only pushed for 10 minutes and no tears. My baby girl is here!!!!
