Just need some advice please

Okay so I've been dating this incredible guy for almost three months now and he is so kind to me and shares the same beliefs as me about waiting till marriage and etc but last weekend he took me bowling and afterwards we went to his car and just started talking and then things got a little heated but nothing like sex happened but during the whole thing it was uncomfortable for me and just plan awkward and I didn't say anything because I thought this was a normal thing that maybe all teens experience but I don't know I told him about and now his like why didn't you tell me you weren't comfortable to would've just stop and we would've gone home and now I feel super terrible because his having nightmares about losing me because of this and I'm terrified that I just screwed up a great relationship anyone out there just people I'm looking for advice and I can't go to my mom about this so just really gossipy and I don't want to ask her for advice so please just a little bit of help
