I can tell you that I'm almost certain that no airlines will let you use this. Every time person in from of you moves there seat the baby will be moving.

These are not safe. And it's recommended that babies fly in their car seats. If you're on Facebook join the group "car seats for the littles" they can answer any and all questions. ☺️

I think you can buy seat belt attachments for airline seats that turn the original belt into a 4 point harness like a carseat. They're FDA approved, I'm just not sure where to buy them. I've read a couple of blogs where people have used them to fly with their toddlers.

If it's FAA approved, it can be used on an aircraft. Is it recommended? Probably not but I flew all the way to Vietnam with my then 18 month old at the time and she was a lap baby. It was a long flight and she would've been miserable in her car seat for that long. We do use her diono when we travel domestically since they are shorter flights. I know that you can use the CARES airplane safety harness for children as that is FAA approved but the weight limit for it starts at 22 pounds.
