Welcome into the world Cooper!

Elizabeth
So on Thursday November 10th we welcomed our baby boy into the he world at 8:21am via scheduled csection. We were originally scheduled for the 11th at noon. On Wednesday I got a call to preregister for the birth, and that is how I found out they changed the date and time of our csection. Apparently that was the voicemail I forgot to listen to earlier in the week!  So I had to call my husband and tell him he needed the next day off and we had to be at the hospital by 5:30am. So instead of a me day I had planned for myself we had a baby! We are so in love with our little man. The csection itself was not bad. The worst part of the whole thing was honestly the IV being inserted into my wrist. My veins are awful and they had a hard time getting the needle and tubing in. I got so lightheaded and nauseous during that. The spinal was not bad at all.  The procedure itself was easy and quick. When he was evaluated they were concerned about his respiratory rate being too fast so he was taken to the nursery so my skin to skin was delayed by about two hours. I was so worried and upset because I could not see him.  My husband was right with him which made me feel better.  He ended up being ok thankfully. He did have to go through the 12hour glucose test because of his size, and passed with flying colors.
We had been told by our OB that we were going to have a large baby hence the csection. Everyone else said that the ultrasound measurements were most likely off and he would not really be around 10/11lbs at birth. Well on the big day as they were pulling him out everyone was commenting on the size of him. He came into this world weighing 11lbs2oz and 21 3/4inches long. When my father-in-law came to visit and asked to see us, the comment was "oh the big baby".  Most of the nurses said they never saw a baby so big before.
So in love with my little man. I watch my husband with him and fall in love more every day.
