Was I wrong?

Question

So my fiance is now an Uber driver and today he text me saying he took a heroin addict to an NA meeting and was going to give her his number but didn't think I'd be okay with it so he didn't. I then told him that given his history of dating girl with drug problems and always wanting to help them of course I would not be okay with it. He then got pissed off and didn't text me for the rest of the day and when I saw him he treated me like shit. I mean am I wrong? His last two exes were both heroin addicts and he tried fixing them, I was addicted to pills and he helped me get through it and now we're engaged. I just don't know what to think or say or do. Any advice?

Instead of putting him down you should have thanked him for thinking about you. Maybe he would have reacted differently

sounds like is the kind of person that wants to help everyone with a problem but than ends up falling for them...I would tell him that she is getting the help she needs and he doesn't need to butt his way into another females life when he has his own. it isn't his job to help her. she can get her own help. if he did get her number behind your back and starts messaging I would suspect more than just help. if he goes out if his way to hide it he is probably planning on doing something stupid. good luck.

He might just be taken back and have taken the comment about him wanting to fix addicts the wrong way.

Of course it wasn't meant negatively, but I can definitely see how he could've taken it that way.

I think maybe a simple, yeah I don't know how I would've reacted, thank you for thinking of me, would've been a lot better. 
He shouldn't have reacted that way either, sometimes we just take things badly when we're feeling vulnerable emotionally which he may have been feeling driving someone he can relate to going to a meeting.

Maybe just shoot him a text or leave him a note apologizing for being rude about it and you didn't mean things in a bad way. That you're thankful he thought about you and how it'd make you feel.

Sometimes it's better to admit we're wrong even if we're not completely wrong. 
He might then apologize for reacting that way on his own!

I think his history with dating women with addictions is why he wants to help bc he has experience in it. If he loves you and is loyal to you I don't think his past of who he dated should make a difference in him wanting to platonically help this woman. But if it were my Man I would be a part of the relationship between the two. Maybe in the future tell him to give a woman's number who needs support your number instead of his and the two of you being involved in helping others with your own experience. Relationships are about compromise and meeting in the middle. Just my thoughts. Good luck.
