Too long engagement???

Hey ladies!! So I just got engaged 11-11-16! Still on cloud 9, but my new fiancé and I are looking to set a date soon, and we would love to do a fall wedding. However, due to finances and finding a house and all, we don't know if we can swing 2017. We are discussing a spring wedding of 2018, but I've kinda always had my heart set on a fall wedding. Would fall of 2018 be too long of an engagement? Should I go ahead do a spring wedding? Cheap out and do a fall 2017 wedding (might put us in a not so hot place financially though..) or be patient and do fall 2018? I need help!! Thank you ladies!! ❤️❤️☺️

Doesn't matter how long you guys stay engaged for there isn't any limit. By the time my fiancé and I get married we will be engaged for almost 3 years.

I've been engaged since April 2015. We are thinking we might finally pull the trigger and get married in August 2017. Nobody seems weirded out that it's taking so long. Whatever you wanna do is fine!  Also watch "The 5 Year Engagement ". It's amazing LOL

Do what feels right for you! We did it really fast and it turned out beautifully. We got engaged on April 24th 2015 and were married Aug 6th 2015. Less than 4 months engagement! We booked ventures like 3 days after getting engaged and I bought my dress a month before and still had time to get it altered. It all worked out and what matters is we had our special day and we have each other. So personally, I think you can do it in any time frame and have it turn out well.

I have been with my middle school sweetheart for ten years. This year on Dec 27 will officially be two years of official engagement . It seems FOREVER away till we pull the trigger. But if that is your dream wedding then wait, because on that day the only thing that you will think of is his face when he sees you looking at him walking down the isle to him. Don't worry about other people or what they think cuz either way and however long you wait ul be his wife anyways 😊😍❤

No engagement is "too long". Whatever you do that feels right for you is what is right. Some people get engaged and never get married. Some wait months or years.

If you want fall then wait until 2018. No reason to put yourself in a bind or not get your dream wedding. If you guys are meant to be then you will still be together in fall 2018. No need to rush.
