Feeling like I can't get ahead :(

I'm a newly single mom of three kids. One is 5 months old, one is hearing impaired with special needs requiring us to travel to see his doctors frequently. I JUST started my new position 2.5 months ago and now I have been missing so much work between doctors and sick kids that I'm worried I'll lose my job. How do single moms do it? Honestly I'm overwhelmed :(
