How long did you know your boyfriend or girlfriend before you started dating?

We started talking a week before he asked me to be his girlfriend. I had told him originally I wanted to take it slow, but the way he asked and how damn cute he looked, I couldn't say no. Now we have been dating for almost 8 months.
