The Big Chop

This is super dumb but I'm trying to figure out when to cut my hair. I'm embracing the mom cut - I know that I'll lose a bunch of hair after the baby is born, and with really fine hair, I'm going to look like a stringy mess with the length I currently have. I also want to have something a little easier to take care of and style. However, I want to make sure I can put my hair up during labor (and, selfishly, look cute during newborn pics). What are you ladies doing? Cutting your hair? When? Why?
