Any 1st time mamas shooting for a natural childbirth?

I really want to try natural. The thought of an epidural, not being able to move around, get a catheter, possible prolonged labor, etc really freaks me out. The problem is so does doing it naturally, but I think freaks me out a little less. Just wondering what other FTM's are thinking of doing.

My first pregnancy was in 2013. I had a natural birth no pain meds at all. 
My tips....don't sike yourself out. Find ways that you can manage the pain of the contractions. I walked a lotttttt, had my husband pushing on my hips, got into the shower (the hospital didn't have a tub), did squats on a birthing ball. Don't try to "reject" the pain. Let it all happen. Your body knows what is suppose to do.

I'm hoping to not an epidural as well and to just do it natural, but idk what to expect so I'm going into fully ready to ask for one if I think I need it.

I'm of course going to try for natural, and a lot of those same things really freak me out as well, but at this point I am going with "whatever happens happens, whatever I need to do I will do".
Because the one thing I don't want is to force myself and my baby through too much stress during labor and make it a negative experience for either of us!

I was open to natural and epidural with my 1st. I told the nurse I wanted to wait and see how it goes. When I got to about 6 cm I was shaking so bad, I needed to get the epidural I couldn't do it anymore. I say go for it try it natural and if it's too hard tell them you want the epidural and hopefully it's not to late to get it. My labor wasn't that long I don't think. They broke my water around 3 and she came at 9. I was 41 weeks. I'm hoping the 2nd go around goes good as well

I want natural. My theory is woman have been giving birth naturally since the beginning of human kind... millions of years, billions of women. If they all can do it, I can too. I understand medical advancements such as an epidural are wonderful gifts from mankind and should be taken advantage of, but you hear too many bad things about epidural, you never hear anything bad about doing it naturally, except the pain... but again - millions of years, billions of women - im pretty sure I'll get through it too!

I am! Just finished my hypnobirthing class series last week. It was awesome and gets you feeling really confident and psyched for labor. I'd definitely recommend reading the book at the very least :)

Me! Same reasons as you, pain does not scare me at all but interventions do lol. I plan to labour at home as long as I can as well.

That is my preference, but I'm aware that sometimes interventions need to happen. 
I prepare myself by taking prenatal yoga classes. Picking up on my meditation and breathing exercises, and reading about hypo birthing

I'm in active labor so I get a lot of full on birthing contractions and in all honesty for me it doesn't hurt, I just keep my mind occupied and thinking about the greater good(: I know they will get worse when the times comes to get the baby out but im oddly looking forward to it❤️

I'm going for a natural birth too and not even allowing myself to think of pain at the moment.
I'm thinking to check hypnobabies for some pain management techniques. Heard that it's pretty effective.
