Would my period slow down?

Okay, so i have a question...

My bf and i had sex a few days after my period last month and he did not cum inside me and the condom didn't break.. but now i am 7 days late on my period and i think it may be stress and the change of my routine in the past week but anyways

My bf and i want to have sex but he told me that my period might slow down even more

So i don't know what to do or if it's true

And if it is what would be the consequences for me

I'm not sure what that means
