We are getting married in February, but we are moving into our new house in December. I'm worried that the families and other people in our neighborhood will alienate us

Most couples I know own houses before they're married? My mum and her partner own a house (unmarried) and so do loads of my friends
Why is it an issue?

It's 2016. Only old fogies or real conservatives care about whether your married or not while living together. Times have changed, most people dont care these days.

Uh no who cares? I honestly have zero clue who our neighbors are, if they are married or whatever. If we see them outside we give a friendly wave but I don't care to know them at all. The little we have spoke to them they all seem like nice people but if they are married? I didn't ask to see paperwork to prove one way or the other.

I just moved into a new home, 8 months pregnant and we only got engaged this past October. Times have changed, and if people are judging you they need to realize that 😂
