Skipping afternoon nap

I have a nine-month-old who has decided that she no longer needs to take an afternoon nap. We generally put her to sleep around 7:30 or 8:00 she wakes up once around 10:00 for a bottle, and then sleeps till seven in the morning. She takes a nice hour-long nap at around 10 Am and then that's it for the rest of the day. I try to put her down, but she just fusses and complains for about 45 minutes in the nursery.  I guess it's good she gets downtime in the afternoon, but she get so sleepy by the time 5 o'clock rolls around!  I guess I'm just wondering if anybody else's baby has decided to skip their naps?
