Okay so since we're TTC and it's taking a while (2.5 years already) we decided to look forward a little and pay off our credit card debt before I get pregnant or if I get pregnant soon, before baby is here. So we'd like to have them paid off in the next 9 months to a year. We only have about $6,000 in various credit cards to pay off, like store cards, major credit cards, financed appliances, etc. What's the best way to do that? We're considering taking out a loan to consolidate it and to get lower payments and interest, but we're not sure as we've never paid off debt before.
