So I had a copper IUD put in last October and had it in for about a month. The cramps were so intense every day that I decided to take matters into my own hands. I took it out at home. It came out easily with no bleeding and the cramps stopped right away. My question is, have any of you ladies experienced a similar experience? I researched a little before I took it out to make sure it wasn't going to be harmful to my body and a lot of women seemed to say there were no health risks for them. Now a year down the road, I'm starting to second guess my decision. Could taking an IUD out by yourself effect your fertility? Any help is appreciated. Peace and love.
