How often do you get an ultrasound?

How often do you get an ultrasound at appointments? 
Ive had 4 Appts so far and got to see the baby each time. I just switched drs and went in for my 19 week Appt and she told me I won't get another ultrasound. I was so shocked to hear that I just started crying..  I thought you get an ultrasound at every Appt?! 
Is this normal?

My pregnancy was a normal healthy one and this is my breakdown 😊

✅ 8 Weeks Transvaginal (first one)

✅ 13 Weeks Abdominal

✅ 19 Week Anatomy Scan - Abdominal

✅ 36 Weeks Growg Scan - Abdominal

Those were all from my Doctors Office. I also went to get private scans at 14, 16, 22, & 28 Weeks 😂❤

Typically just the dating scan and the and anotomy scan. Doctors need a diagnosis to put with the US so if there's no medical need you would be paying out of pocket a lot. Lucky u got so many but typically most don't get that many. They might add a growth scan toward the end. If u want more go to private scan place and get them :)

Normally no you don't. I get one every appt because I'm high risk.

Def not normal unless they are watching for something. When I was pregnant with my son I got one at 9 weeks and one at 20 and that was it.

Thanks guys! I feel so silly now for getting overly emotional upon the first time meeting the dr that's gonna deliver my baby LOL but I'm sure she's seen pregnancy hormones at their best before

My doctor only does the initial dating scan around 10 weeks and then the anatomy scan around 19-20 weeks. She considers me a healthy pregnancy so I will not get another ultrasound as of right now.

Every doctor does it differently. I have them at every appointment and I am NOT high risk.

I had weekly ultrasounds from week 6-10 just because I was with a fertility clinic.  After being released from the fertility clinic I had my Down's syndrome scan at 13 weeks (I am 36 years old) anatomy scan at 18 weeks and then a follow up to the anatomy scan to check placenta location at 23 weeks.  I'm going to be 32 weeks in a couple days and don't know if I'll be having any other scans (doc hasn't said anything about it)

Depends on your doctor and your circumstances. For a low risk pregnancy my doctor does not do any scan until the 20 week anatomy scan and then one growth scan.
