bleeding after nurse had me do my own swab

So today I had something odd happen. I went to my appointment (35 wks 5 days) to have my strep B swab, which doesn't hurt at all. I had mentioned to the nurse that I think I have a yeast infection.  The nurses prepare all the tools and swabs the doctor will use during the visit and they are usually in the room when the doctor is male. Today, the nurse must have been in another room and the doctor (male) handled things on his own, which included getting the swab for the yeast infection. Apparently he chose the wrong swab/test and just as I'm walking out the nurse pulls me aside and tells me I have to go back in the room and do it again. This time I had to do it myself then she explained what to do (put it deep and rotate swab for 10 seconds) and leaves me for some minutes. I was annoyed, but I did it and contrary to my experience with the doctor, it was painful and there was blood when I pulled the swab out, which she assured me is normal.
