He finally stepped up!
My son's father has been very distant. He still sees his son, but only 3 times in his 2 months of life. He didn't even sign the birth certificate when he was born! And now that he's on child support, things have gotten worse.
My mother and I went to get my son's birth certificate today, because child services needed it to move our case along. We get to the CS office, and I was told the dad had stopped by earlier. I immediately thought the worst. She then proceeded to tell me he told her he WANTED to add his name to the birth certificate, and that he WANTED to pay child support. She came up with an amount ($150 a month which would've been FINE) and he raised it to $437. He told her he has missed out on so much, during the pregnancy and now, that he regrets it. I have never been so happy in my life.
