I want to ask my mom to help me go on birth control ! But I don't know how to ask for help... I'm 17 and she keeps assuming I have sex anyways. (Please take inconsideration my mom is black)

I just came straight out and asked my mom what our health insurance covered because I assumed that, if I had to pay a copay, the insurance would report it back to my parents since the insurance is under my dads employer. (Which it doesn't since I'm 22.) Honesty is the best policy for these things, so if you tell her why you want to get on the pill, whether it be because you are sexually active or if it's just for the health benefits, you'll be able to talk openly and get good advice.

If you feel like you can't talk to her about it then Google your local health department or planned parent hood and call them to make an appointment.  It should be free and they give you condoms for free, and they do not need your parents consent.
