Does husband go to appointments?

My husband and I just had our first infertility consultation yesterday. His sperm analysis came back normal and the doctor and nurses barely acknowledged his existence. I'm going back for the HSG test next month and I don't if I should bring him with me or not or to other future appointments?

I didn't have my hubby come to a lot of my appointments. Just IUI's and egg retrieval. All the "major" ones!

My wife came with me to almost every appointment. She felt the same way at the consultation but after that it felt more relaxed and she felt more welcomed. She did not come to my HSG testing because it's basically an X-ray of your womb as they object dye into it and watch it spill out to check for issues. We asked, and they said she wouldn't be able to go back with me but could wait out front. However she was welcome to all ultrasounds and any other appointments we had. Good luck!

My husband was requested to be at the initial consult. He didn't come to my hsg or any of testing. He came to 2 out of our 3 iuis... other than making his "deposit" which was 2 hours before I had to be there.

It's up to you. They never requested my husband be present but try and keep him away! Even when it was just a scan to see if any follicles were growing with Clomid. He insisted on being with me. Currently waiting to hear from my OB/GYN as to if/ when we can try IVF. He's already told me he's going to be there. Most of the time though, no, they didn't really talk to him.
