how many kids?!

My husband and I have three beautiful boys, ages 8,7, and 2.5..

I told my hubby I wanted to be done having kids by 30 because by age 50, I wanna be able to travel freely with no children in the home.

We have gotten some backlash for having 3, (aren't you done yet, you've got three boys, why are you trying for a girl.. you know you're going to have another boy... etc)

I come from a family of 18(birth family and adopted) and he comes from a family of 7...

So I don't understand the trepidation of them saying such things to us.

What would you say to them, to kindly tell them that what we do with out body parts is our own business, and my hubby makes enough money to support 10 kids if we really wanted too, he makes over (100,000) a year.

Just feeling... like I kindly want to say "f off"

I got a lot of shit when I got pregnant with my third. I'm not sure why. We can more than afford our children. We have terrific careers. We don't need help from family. They are well behaved and well adjusted. For some reason these days when you have more than 2 kids people look at you like you have 4 heads. I have 3 boys. I never "tried for a girl." In truth I always wanted boys. I also always wanted 3 kids and happily tied my tubes after the birth of my last son. We still get a lot of comments about "making sure we are done" and that we aren't feeling the need to "try for a girl" but frankly people can shut it. We are a happy and healthy vibrant family. People need to get over their own issues. Just because they struggle with their one or two, doesn't mean I can't excel with 3.

It would be hard to reply "kindly". You're either not having enough kids, having too many kids, have them too close together or too far apart in age, raise them too strict or raise them too relaxed. You can't win with people. So just keep living YOUR life! I'd probably just respond to them with a disgusted look until they got the hint that they're being out of line and rude!

My friend has 4 boys and is pregnant with her 5th. I have absolutely no idea how she does it! Have so much respect for her. I'm not going to lie, when she told me she was pregnant I did say something like 'oh my, you're crazy!' 🙈. I think I would take their comments with a pinch of salt, they're not living your life, you are! After my miscarriage, me and my partner started trying straight away and the insensitive comments we received straight after would honestly blow your mind, but no one can live your life! Oh and by the way, you have a beautiful family! ❤️.

Pregnant with my 4th and couldn't be arsed telling people because I know their reaction already! Sorry didn't realise ye were in control of my reproductive organs or that ye are paying for my 4th child or ye had to carry it so mind ur business! A lot is jelousy 2 that they can't afford another baby! Think we just need to ignore wat they think and do what makes you happy!!

My husband a d i got married in November 2015. I have 2 sons from a previous marriage (ages 6 and 3) and my husband has 1 son from a "fling" and he didnt know abt him until he was 2 years old (now age 5) so he was not able to be a part of the pregnancy, birth or bonding with his son until we got custody of him in July of 2015. So altogether we have 3 boys but no children together, until now! We got our bfp a few weeks ago after 7 months ttc. We didnt tell many people that we were trying because honestly its no ones business but ours. Our families expressed their concerns with having 4 children (stress and finances) but in the end they knew that we are going to do what we feel is best for our family. We are praying this will be our baby girl but either way this will be my husbands first experience with pregnancy, obgyns and birth. So we are enjoying this time and not worrying abt anyone else's opinions.

I came from a huge family, and I always dreamed of a big family but supporting that would be a job lol I say if you guys are financially stable enough to do it.. why not!!
