So I have this really close friend, and there have always been sexual tension between us. The thing is I would totally be down to lose my virginity with him but I dont know if it is weird to lose my virginity to someone who is just a friend. Would that make is less meaningful? 
The reason why I rather lose it to him is because we both really care about each other and known each other for 5 years. And I know that afterwards we would still be friends. I just want to lose it to someone that I know cares about me and will still respect me and talk to me afterwards, but i dont know if i should lose it to him if we are not dating.

Speaking from experience and friends who have had sex with friends; having sex with your friend will most likely make shit really awkward. Even though y'all have known each other for a long time it still will probably make your friendship become weird and possibly make it so weird and awkward that you lose that person as a friend. If y'all are wanting to be more then friends and date then I mean ya go for it but at the same time if y'all break up that friendship will most likely be over... just personal experience and friends experiences have all proved these points. Maybe someone else has better happier experiences but from what I've seen having sex with your close friend makes things super awkward. Best of luck though to whatever you decide!!!
