Not finding out the gender?

Question

My bf and I are thinking that we don't want to find out the gender of our first baby until its birth. Any other moms do this or are planning to do this?

I don't find out. This is baby #2. I will never find out. I think it's the best surprise ever!

I'm just about 33 weeks and do not know the sex of my baby.
I wanted to wait and hubby wanted to find out.  We then had a couple of friends who said they had found out for one and waited for another and they all said it was a way better surprise to wait so that was enough to change hubby's mind.

Yep. It's driving my husband mad! Someone once said to me 'you get so few real surprises in life, so make the most of this one'! It makes it even more exciting (if that's possible). X

I could never wait that long!  I want to be able to find out ASAP (which is why I'll go to a private ultrasound center to find out early when the doctor Im sure won't tell me till 20 weeks (even though you can find out as early as 15-16 weeks).  I want to know what colors to buy, narrow down my baby names and get used to the idea of if I'm having a boy or girl..as much as it can be fun and exciting to not know-knowing I can know well beforehand and making myself wait is not something I could or want to do..it's hard enough waiting till the first gender reveal scan, much less waiting till the baby is born!  I'm almost 6 weeks and I just can't help but wonder already is it a boy?  Girl?  Twins even?  lol..they run in my family so it's possible!

We are 33+2 and waiting until birth, husband's choice! It has made the pregnancy (my 2nd baby) more exciting. The anticipation is so great, & I love it! This may sound crazy, but I feel more people gave gifts at my shower that were not clothes! This was very helpful to get needed items rather than 1,000 outfits the baby would out-grow in the 1st month!

We are doing this, and it's our first child too. Everyone around us likes to think they know what it is though lol

This is what my husband and I are doing! Everything is neutral. We live in a small community so the "blue for boy/pink for girl" game is strong here and that's not what I want. So we decided to just play it neutral and stick with greens, yellows, and tans (our nursery will be woodland theme)! I can't wait!

We thought about it but in the end decided to find out. I'm glad you did because we both had a preferred sex (girl) and found out that we were having a boy. I'm really glad that we found out so that we could mentally prepare ourselves much better and begin to connect with a slightly different idea of what was ahead. 
I think if you don't feel a strong preference it might be really fun tonight now.
