DELAYED BATH? Did anybody NOT give their baby a bath right after birth?

I recently read something about delaying the first bath because verix caseosa, the creamy white substance protecting their skin, has anti-microbial & moisturizing qualities to protect them from the environment. 
Our bodies are wonderful and make the perfect place for babies to grow, so I do believe it also makes something to protect them for after birth. But has any moms delayed the bath? If so, how long.

We waited till the stuff on him was absorbed and his umbilical cord fell off.

We delayed a week or more, just a little wipe down here or there. We never had any issues with baby acne, diaper rash, dry skin etc either

I didn't give my son a complete bath until his umbilical cord fell off. When we left the hospital I gave him wash ups.

A nurse bathed our daughter the day following birth, I think it was maybe 8 hours later or so.

She had her first bath little less than 24 hours after she was born

I didn't bathe my youngest daughter until she was 6 days old. My other children were bathed in the hospital. My youngest is my healthiest child by far. I can't say for sure that it is because of delayed bathing, but it sure didn't hurt her.

I will be delaying bath. We will do it at home and probably about at 4D - a week old.

I will delay about a week, maybe more. Their skin is so delicate, I'm sure they just need their little faces wiping gently.
