work accommodations
Just curious, does an employer have to make accommodations if you have a drs note with restrictions? I'm a "dollar store" employee, meaning I'm a cashier when people are at the counter and spending all other available time in between stocking shelves. My dr just gave me a restriction that I need to take a 10 min sitting break every 2 hours because I've been having really bad swelling. I don't really know how this accommodation is possible being that I'm the only cashier in the store and it's a constant moving job. Was wondering if I should even give them the drs note because I don't want any negative repercussions on me. Thanks!
