Lying propped up makes it better. Lying on your right side will make it worse because of the way your stomach is positioned while lying on that side.

Take some Prilosec. My OB suggested I take it every night and it prevents me from getting heartburn. I also keep a stash of Pepcid chewables for that rare occasion that I do have heartburn.

None, prop up some pillows and sleep on an angle for the first few hours of sleep.
