Never again. Hormones made me insane even when Doc assured me they wouldn't. I gave it a full year before my Hubs & even Counselor agreed it needed to go. I will only trust the Paragard ever again, (hormone free - had it for 10 years).

Loved it. Had it for 9 years. Took it out, got pregnant 5 months later. Had no periods but the last two year had a light one.

I had one for the full five years. While it was in it was awesome, I had no bad side effects, and I had no period the entire time it was in. The only negative for me was that it partially implanted into my uterus so removal was really painful and I bled quite heavy for about 10 days after it was removed. Because if that I probably won't get it again. I got pregnant a couple months after it came out!

I got really bad cysts to the point I couldn't do anything.

I have had mirena twice and it was just awful. I didn't put together the issues I had the first time to the iud until I got a second one out in. My hormones were out of control, depression, irritability, on top of ovarian cysts. I have made the decision to never use synthetic hormones in my body ever again. And just to add, my cousin also had one and now deals with PID. Do a lot of research, I personally feel there are way more cons than pros.

Had mine in for about 6 months now. Periods are very light and now at about 6 week intervals, hopefully they'll stop at some point but if not they are definitely manageable where mine are usually horribly heavy and painful.
Over all pleased with it.

I loved mine and will be getting it again after the birth. It stopped my super heavy periods and gave occasional spotting every few months and got rid of my hormonal roller coaster each month
