Zero. Some drs still say a glass every once in a while is OK but national guidelines say zero alcohol while pregnant.

There is a great book I read while pregnant that looks at a lot of these type of questions and reviews the studies that have been done so you can compare statistics. It's called "expecting better" and I can't recommend it enough. (They also go over a lot of things that are considered Forbidden foods and coffee etc) After looking at the data I felt like a small glass a few times a week after the first trimester would be safe however I actually lost the taste for alcohol completely while pregnant so in the end didn't really bother.

I don't drink at all, but I hear a glass here and there is fine. Don't get wasted. The way I see it, some women eat so much nasty crap while pregnant... I can't see why a glass here and there would hurt. Don't judge unless you have a 100% clean diet!

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, no amount of alcohol... even one glass... is safe to consume during pregnancy. Despite whatever your doctor says. That's the standard.
