In need of advice

So I am overweight and have been ttc for at least 2 yrs now. I have talked to my doctor about my weight because I have tried several things to lose weight with no success. She suggested that I should consider weight loss surgery since some of my medical conditions are making it impossible to lose weight on my own. The entire idea scares me and I'm not sure how or if it would affect us ttc. Has anyone gone through this or know someone who has? I would really appreciate opinions of anyone who can help.
