I'm 28 weeks pregnant. I never had the chicken pox. I work at CDC so lots of nasty stuff going on. I've been pretty healthy so far etc but we just found out a child in another class who's the same age group I teach may have chicken pox. The CDC won't confirm it and let it be known to the center because the child's Doctor won't confirm it.. Even though the doctor stated that he believed it was chicken pox.. (Basically that's a confirmation but whatever). Anyways, chicken pox is very serious for pregnant women as it could affect preterm labor, CVS for babies. It's permanent damage if anything. It's a very serious risk. Our management is quite shitty you may say since they're not even taking extra precautions, letting us pregnant women still work in the same age group rather than moving us somewhere else til this thing pass by.. I'm quite freaking out. One of my kids had spots today but not yet all over.. Trainer and director came in and said nothing 😒 what am I suppose to do? I'm quite freaking out. Child in the other class was infected for 2 weeks and yes I was around the child and his classmates when playing outside although our interaction with that class was limited. I came home today though and I'm quite itchy here and there. I'm kind of scared. This job is definitely not worth the risk for my baby. What should I do??
