getting off birth control

Hey everyone! I am new to this app so I thought this was a great time in my life to join. My husband and I have decided to try and start having kids. I've been on birth control for about 10 years (pill). I was out on it for really bad cramps to the point of me fainting from the pain. I also used to throw up and was unable to do anything for a few days. Anyway... now that I have decided to get off my BC I was wondering about the effects I may feel and if it would take longer for me to get pregnant since I've been on it for so long. I've researched a few things and I will be going to my doctor next eeek but I was wondering if anyone went through this first hand and had any advice for me. Thanks a lot!!
