Prenatal vitamin? I am 38 weeks today and just finished a bottle of prenatal vitamins. Should I get more or not?

I am still taking an iron pill due to low iron and will continue to do so. I forgot to ask my doctor last week if I should keep taking the prenatals , switching to normal multivitamin s, or just eat properly and forget the pills. Has anyone had this conversation with their doctor?

Yes, it is even recommended that you continue to take them after you delivery. Especially if you decide to breastfeed.

I have taken mine in months, mostly because I forget but also because I was overwhelmed with 3 pills in the morning.  Your baby will be fine without but use your own best judgement.

Take them and even after delivery if you plan on breastfeeding and u also don't want to mess up vitamin do to labor and bloodloss

It's recommended to keep taking after you deliver as well, especially if you plan to breastfeed. I personally would buy another bottle and take it until it's gone 😊

I do a prescription prenatal vitamin & my doctor wrote the Rx for like 15 months so that I can keep taking them after delivery - especially if I plan to breastfeed... I would think it would be a good idea to continue to take them either way though!!
