Long but here is my birth story πΆπ
Last Tuesday I went in for my normal obgyn apt which usually goes by pretty quick. Well I get there and leave a pee sample and she checked my blood pressure and not only was it high but I had protein in my urine. So before my Dr said anything she checked my b/p a few more times and it just got higher. It was up to 187 over 110. Well she sent us right over to the hospital to get checked for preeclampsia. I've never had any issues with high blood pressure or swelling of any kind this entire pregnancy. Well after the 24 hour test they found a high amount of protein in my urine so I was told I will be staying in the hospital until my due date. My b/p became stable but I was still admitted and staying for a while considering I was only 31 weeks pregnant. Well the next morning came around and I had the stress test and my b/p was still rising. So then my Dr suggested we talk about delivery! Well hours went By and she decided to check me just to see and I was 2-3 cm dilated and 80% effaced well after that she gave me an epidural and started pitocin. Well hours after that she checked and there was no change at all. It turns out the 14 cm cyst I had on my ovary was causing his head to not make it down and farther. Which she said from the get go the cyst should not effect a natural delivery. π well after that at 6 am she said we have to do a c section. So at 6:34 on Friday morning my son Bryce Walker Belus was born at just 31 weeks weighing 3 pounds 1 ounces and 16 inches long. He has a long road to go but he is such a fighter and we are so in love.
