What kind of birth control did you get after having a baby? What kind would you recommend?

I'm barely 2 weeks postpartum so I have a minute to think of what I want. I definitely cannot do the pills. I forget too easily.

I was thinking about an IUD but the thought of anything going up there scares me because of how much discomfort I'm still in. 2nd degree tear & swelled up like a blow fish for about 4 days. Although I wouldn't not get it because of this, I'm just nervous of how I'm going to heal up and how long it'll take for that to happen.
