You get them as early as 13 weeks but some women won't feel them until third trimester with their first baby, sooner with subsequent babies while other women don't feel them at all. Doesn't mean they aren't happening. 
I'm 36 weeks and get at least 20-50 a day depending on if I'm active, haven't drank enough water or am nursing my toddler. Sometimes they come 5 minutes apart for an hour or so then go away for me.
