Discovered loss at 12w scan
I started bleeding lightly on Thursday, then more heavily on Friday, went to A&E in the evening to be told that they weren't concerned as I wasn't in pain & bleeding in pregnancy can be common. They said they couldn't book me in for an earlier scan as I was already booked in for Monday and they don't do scans on the weekend.
So I waited and continued to experience period-like bleeding until late Monday afternoon when we had our scan & my fears were confirmed. She could only see the sack, no baby.
We had to return yesterday to the early pregnancy unit for another scan, they saw what would have been the foetus, it must have stopped developing about a month ago, and had shrunk to 3mm.
Under legislation I have to go back in a week for another scan before I can have a D&C. I don't understand why I'm being left to wait and bleed every day when I know the pregnancy is over. I just want it gone so we can start again.
