Postpartum sex smell?

OK I'm almost 9 weeks pp, Dr cleared me for sex. I've had sex 3times and this time I noticed after my SO began having sex with me his penis had a foul odor. My areas down there do not smell and haven't smelled, I only bleed after having sex, it wasn't a musty or sweaty smell, it just smelled bad when I got close to it. It was definitely from me not him since it was on the tip, anyone have any idea why?
