Late period . Needs help.

I have received my period in about 2 years but 3 days ago it came. Hard. Cramps . The whole shebang! Ive being to hospital prior to my period appearing and I got a paper that said cyst on ovaries . Has any one else experienced the same thing . Be cause me and bf wants kids in the future but I don't want anything from stopping me to become pregnant.
