postpartum BC choice & sex

Hey ladies. So I went today for my PP 6 week check up and after deciding from the Mirena & the Nuvaring.. I decided on the Nuvaring. He inserted it and I didn't feel a thing! I'm nervous now because my husband doesn't know what I chose & he is waiting for be green light to have sex with me mainly unprotected. He does not want to wear a condom. But he will the first time we engage in sex. But I have a couple questions....
