Scared of C-Section

So today I went for my appointment at 37 weeks and had 'the' discussion about my little baby girl remaining breech. My doctor talked about moving the baby manually, but stressed that since baby has NEVER been head down she probably wouldn't turn. She also told us the very scary risks too - and explained that some babies who never turn may have a reason. Now, she left the decision to us, but at this point a c-section at 39+ weeks seems to make the most sense. I know there are some doctors/midwives out there who will deliver breech, but mine isn't one of them, and I like and trust my doctor and don't want to change. But I'm terrified of a c section and everything it means - and I'm not sure how to handle that. Any advice for a ftm??
