any ladies in Dallas, Tx using a midwife

I will be moving back there in 3 weeks and would like to use a midwife for this pregnancy. Any recommendations and costs? It runs about $5500 in California where I currently live. Also I'm 8-9 weeks should I see a doctor out here before I leave or wait and make my first appointment out there when I'll be 11 weeks?
