stomach sleeping?

Does anybody let their baby sleep on belly? My son loves to sleep on my chest. I think it's because he likes being on his belly. I put him in the cosleeper (I'm right here) on his belly and he transferred no problem. I, too, am a belly sleeper. Wish I could let him do this without worrying!!

My Munchkin will ONLY sleep on her tummy. I'm scared to do anything else while she's on her tummy. She's very strong for 8 weeks though. She turns her head & never puts her  face straight forward into the bed. If I lay her on her back she just jumps and startle herself awake. She'll sleep for 15 min at most compared to 4 hours on her tummy

My daughter has been sleeping on her stomach since 4 weeks old. She's almost 9 weeks now. It was worrisome at first but she's totally fine she scoots herself around in the crib and lifts and turns her head. It's really your preference we all slept on our stomachs when we were babies. You know what's best for your child. Everyone has an opinion but it's YOUR choice.

My girl does some naps on her belly (she usually falls asleep during tummy time) and I let her stay and rest if i'm close by watching. But overnight and when i'm not near, back only. We've never given her the option for stomach sleep overnight in the bassinet or crib, but we were lucky, she's slept through the night since 5 weeks.

I do. I think as long as your comfortable with it you should go for it. My son sleeps so much on his belly and very good head control so I'm not worried. Happy baby=happy mama

Nope. He sometimes sleeps on my chest on his tummy but I make sure to turn him onto his side or back so he gets used to it. I'm not comfortable letting him sleep on his tummy. Too young to lift his head up.
