anyone can't lay on their back?

I know your not supposed to sleep on your back which I try not to. It's when I'm not sleeping, and I lay on my back for a few minutes it really hurts to do so. I'll be 34 weeks tomorrow, and was just wondering if anybody else is having pain when they try to lay on their back? And if anyone knows why? Could it be because the baby laying on my back? Thank you

It's because of the pressure from your uterus being heavier. The weight disrupts blood flow and can put pressure on nerves in your back. Google explains a lot.

Nope I've been sleeping on my back my entire pregnancy and I'm 32 weeks now. Never had the pain everyone speaks of and this is my 4th.

Sometimes I can sleep on my back just fine, other times I wake up in so much pain because I rolled onto my back. My dr. Says if it's comfortable it's fine, if not then I shouldn't be laying that way... most of the time I fall asleep laying half on my side half kinda sorta on my stomach but not putting any pressure on it- with one leg straight and the other over a pillow. (I tried to explain that the best I could lol) and that's one of the only positions I can sleep. I'm 33+6

I can ONLY sleep on my back. I have an autoimmune disease that causes arthritis in the spine and hips and my hips hurt SO bad if I sleep on my side even with my preggo pillow. I go to physical therapy once a week to deal with the pain. Doc said sleeping on my back is fine.

Me. I use to be able to sleep on my back up until a couple weeks ago. I wouldn't even call it pain, in my opinion, more like uncomfortable pressure. It's your uterus, baby and sac that's pressed up against nerves and all of that.
