can having a hormone imbalance cause a ectopic pregnancy?

I have a hormone imbalance and I also had chlamydia twice in the past not sure how long but they were both treated. I know scarring can be on the tubes from chlamydia and that can cause an ectopic I had to have surgery to where they had to take out my left tube it wasn't an emergency I was in risk of rupturing but they told my husband my right one is fine. I don't smoke at all I don't have endometriosis I just think it's the chlamydia or can a hormone imbalance cause it too? Becuase I know doctors don't really know what caused an ectopic
