Do I have to tell my parents about my tattoo

I've had a tattoo for a while and it fits under my bra so only I can see it. Do I need to tell my parents? I'm not ashamed of it, I got it for me so only the friends who went with me know about it. They've never explicitly been against tattoos so I'm not sure to the conversation would go. I'm just curious if it's something i need to do.
